Hometown: Paia, Hawaii
Born in Brazil, Andrea grew up in her family’s marina and was infused in ocean sports from a young age. In 1998, Andrea followed her passions and moved to Maui where she works full time as a paramedic while pursuing her career as a professional ocean sports athlete. Throughout the stand up paddling community, Andrea is known for her downwind prowess, a skill honed by her experience competing in Hawaii’s most prestigious outrigger canoe races. Widely known for her paddling skills, Andrea is a big wave surfer at heart and was the first woman to paddle in at Jaws. Andrea is dedicated to inspiring others to achieve their full potential and hopes to elevate the stature of women’s SUP and big wave surfing through each of her activities.
