SIC Maui Brazilian Global Athlete Caio Vaz and Puerto Rican Ambassador Mariecarmen Rivera both took home medals in their respective categories at the Pan American Claro Games in Peru. Caio took gold in the Men's SUP Surf championship and Mariecarmen took silver in the Women's SUP Technical race.

4. Seychelle Wins Chattajack 2017

Despite temperatures in the 40s, bone chilling winds, and rain almost the entire race, SIC Maui Global Athlete Seychelle was an unstoppable force at the 2017 Chattajack race in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Coming in at just about 5.5 hours, Seychelle solidified her gold medal in the women’s division and set a course record.

5. Supconnect Gear Awards

SIC received two 2017 Supconnect Gear of the Year Awards with their SIC Bullet and Feelgood Series paddleboards.

6. Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge

The SIC Team was in full force at the Hood River Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge earlier this month. SIC Global Team Athletes Tommy Buday, Kody Kerbox, Andrea Moller and Seychelle along with Ambassadors Miguel Beltran, Ben Gareiss, Marie Carmen Rivera and Rhys Staples were all in the Pacific Northwest for racing, touring and SIC family and team bonding.

7. New SIC Team Riders

Among Seychelle and Kody Kerbox joining team SIC earlier in 2017, we have also had recent team additions including youth phenom Jade Howson. Looking into 2018, we couldn’t be more stoked about our roster of elite athletes and ambassadors. Stay tuned for an official announcement of the 2018 SIC Maui team coming soon.
