The RS3, named as the third model in the SIC Race series, is a refined evolution of the award-winning RS. Positioned alongside the RST dugout and XRS V2 dugout, it’s the only board in the lineup featuring a recessed deck. This design offers added comfort, freedom of movement, and easier remounts, ideal for paddlers in surf and technical-style races.
Retaining the proven RS rocker, the RS3 also features an added nose lift for improved performance in choppy and open water, also eliminating the sticking nose when downwinding. The updated nose and hood design, inspired by the RST, gives the board a more modern look and streamlined profile. An increased bow thickness with a steeper V-contour improves water shedding, while a deeper V in the front bottom section helps reduce drag and enhance glide.
At the tail, a V-bottom shape boosts release and control in surf, and a slightly reduced tail volume makes pivot turns quicker and easier but also lends stability when you need it for conditions. The RS3 is built for paddlers seeking an all-around race board that balances speed, control, and versatility in all-water.
