SIC Maui Announces Exciting New Partnership with Longboard Champion Alice Lemoigne (FRA)

ALICE LEMOIGNE, A TOP-LEVEL SURFER

“I love the thrill of the challenge, pushing my limits, defining goals, achieving them, winning, losing... It pushes me to work harder and improve myself in my sport.”

SIC Maui is proud to announce the arrival of a new athlete to its team. Alice Lemoigne is a true waterwoman, and she's looking forward to riding under the SIC Maui flag in both surf and foil. Find out more about this Longboard Champion.

“I'm super happy to be part of the family, representing this brand that promotes strong values in the surf industry. I do a lot of longboarding, but I also shortboard, wingfoil, and kite."

"It's a great opportunity and will help create amazing projects not only in surfing, but also in wing and foil. I'm looking forward to growing with this brand and helping to develop other longboards and surfboards.”

PASSIONATE ABOUT LONGBOARDING

Originally from Reunion Island, Alice surfs the world's finest waves with elegance and style.

“I love longboarding because it gives me incredible sensations. It's very graceful, it's like dancing on the board as you walk on it. I love this feeling. Competition has always been part of my life."

"I love the challenge, pushing my limits, having goals, reaching them, winning, losing: it's all part of the game, and that's what I like about the sport. It pushes me to work harder and improve myself in my sport.”

REUNION ISLAND IS HER SPECIAL PLACE

“Reunion Island is my homeland! We've got amazing waves and great places for wingfoiling and kiteboarding. I love going there to relax, especially after competitions that drain a lot of energy. Coming home, seeing my friends, and surfing perfect waves in warm water is just amazing!”

A WIN IN ABU DHABI AND A WORLD 4TH PLACE TO CLOSE THE SEASON

After her stunning victory in Abu Dhabi, Alice headed to the WSL World Championship final in El Salvador, which brought together the world's 8 best female surfers.

A year after her victory in the ISA final on the same spot, she went for another world title. Here are her thoughts a few days before the competition:

“I have been world champion on this wave. It's a perfect wave for longboarding—it's quite long, not too powerful, and pretty hollow, so you can really express yourself. I just want to enjoy myself to end the season. It's a bonus, but of course, I'm going there to win the title.”

A ONE-DAY EVENT

It's a unique format for this grand final that doesn't allow for any mistakes.

“This kind of competition has only existed since last year. It takes place over a single day: you have one heat, one chance. If you lose, that's it—you keep your ranking from the year. It's a pretty tough feeling to deal with. You have to go in without pressure, be relaxed, and just do your surfing. I aimed to catch the best waves of the series so I could express myself.”

Unfortunately, the same success did not happen again this year. Entering match 3, Alice lost to Honolua Bloomfield. A close match that was decided by the very last wave. 3rd in the world just before the event, this defeat lowered her to 4th place. After another year among the world's elite, Alice is ready to take on new challenges next season, thanks to the support of SIC Maui.

Goal 2025? The world title, of course!

Congratulations, Alice, on your outstanding results!
